Windows 7 Service Pack 1 goes RTM

Service pack 1 will be available on the web on or after February 22nd. Those with OEM, TechNet Plus and MSDN subscriptions will get it before then.

This will probably not be set as a "critical" update. One or more prerequisites may be required.

Suggest waiting a bit to make sure current software and drivers support SP1 as well as no major issue in the SP [you don't want to be a guinea pig, do you?].

You will now have 2 years to install it.
