Post by PressBot »

There has been a lot of talk about stereoscopic 3D cinema, and 3ality’s U23D showed the promise of what 3D events have to offer with an enveloping U2 around the world concert event. The good news is we are starting to see the workings of a stereoscopic 3D cinema network for the purpose of broadcasting live events in the 3D theater space.

Sensio tapped me on the shoulder today with a release about their work with AccessIT. Using AccessIT’s satellite network combined with Sensio’s S-3D distribution technology, AccessIT intends to further expand its satellite and "CineLive" network to include its planned 10,000 screen Phase 2 digital cinema deployment that is expected to begin this summer. Live events have yet to be officially announced, but opportunities include sporting events, concerts, and more.
