guess-game i hope you solve soon...

hi guys! i have a problem with my pc, wich is completely senseless and teh only way to solve it is guessing...

ok first check this video:

this happens when i have a blackscreen. so for example gamestart, cntl+ald+canc, logg off, and so on. it is clearly a directx problem (aero is in dx), if i open a opengl game it does not happen.

usefull info:

OS: win vista ultimate 32 bit completely up to date, original
GPU: Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 mb ram not overclocked
it does not happen with all games.. ex. fear combat does not give this problem.

what i tested (NONE of the steps was the real cause and solved):

- install dx again, and up to date,
- uninstall iz3d drivers (just to be shure that it is not a injection problem)
- change nvidia driver version
- uninstall various software like msn, skype, voip buster and similar
- and finally format...

nothing solved.. so it is not a software problem, (except if it is a vista update problem)
i cant also think of a hardware problem, because if it would be then it would happen also ingame, or on opengl..


i know it sounds crazy, but i tried everything..

any ideas?

ok after formatting, deleting all my data and a day of work i sadly discovered that the monitor cable was not plugged in correctly. i was that upset that i wanted tothrow monitor and pc out of the window... GRRRRRRRRRRRr

Can't understand how that made directx mode flipping out... lol. well troubleshooting a pc is like running in a big labyrinth. but when the error is found it's very easy though... haha. But by that time you usually looked over millions of things.

nice that it wasn't any serious error though.
