Custom lasersight doesn't work

Post by Xerion »

Since all the lasersight crosshairs included in nvidia driver are not to my liking i'm trying to use my own bmp, but it won't show up in games. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

The bmp must be 64x64 and anything you want transparent must be drawn magenta.

I know that, and that's what I made, it does show up in nvidia's control panel, although the magenta is shown as magenta and not transparent. But when I go into a game, it doesn't show up at all.

Which driver are you useing?
I havent personally tested diffrent drivers with custom lasersights but it could be part of the problem.

I had this problem first with the 91.31 drivers (both normal and stereo). I have the same problem still with my current drivers, XG modified 94.20, and 93.81 stereo. So my current drivers are a mismatch but they actually work fine except for this crosshair problem, which happened with matched drivers as well.
