Do ice sculptures make for good stereoscopic 3D pictures?
Let's find out!

What a job some people must have put into it! As good as every sculptures are stunning!
Thanks for capping these images. I have yet to see which of these who are my favorites though.

I liked the spider too! I think that one was underappreciated.
What I can't get over is how these things defy gravity. I mean, curved tailes hangins in mid-air...it boggles the mind!

Neil

Neil, I don't know if you posted it, but my favorite is of the jeweled tear drop looking one. The picture is stunning in 3D.
It was really amazing to see all of them in person. There were also ice sculptures all over downtown Ottawa celebrating Winterlude.

Re: Winterlude...in 3D!
Beautiful gallery Neil, both the topic as well as the 3D quality!
I am amazed how the stereoscopy allows for a much better impression of the sculptures (only surpassed by watching them live I guess, but Toronto is a bit out of the way from Sydney).
When I was looking at the photos in 2D most were hard to recognize, but then switching to 3D (cross-eyed) the "blob of glitter" suddenly turns into a real-life sculpture! A good demonstration of the value of stereoscopy!
My favorite? Hard to tell, as sculptures I think I like the various dragons (DSCF2547 or DSCF2521 are beautiful ones). For the stereoscopic quality I definitely like DSCF2548 for the depth-perception, as well as the tear-drop shapes in DSCF2519).

Neil, could we get a Download Album option added to the Image Gallery? Manually saving 52 files to my hard drive for viewing with sView is very tedious.

There is a zip file in the archive too. That didn't work for you?

Ah, sorry I didn't see it. Thank you. Wow, some of these images are really impressive. I think The Fish jumping out of water one is going to be my background wallpaper for the next few weeks.
