[DIY] NO LIMITS COASTER EDITOR TUT.1: Basic track creation

Post by sharky »

Hi guys! this is the first tutorial about the coaster editor.

how to Create a simple track without environments, steel supports, and so on. just the track!

needed buttons:

v ----> vector
c ----> complete
x ----> set property

open the editor. you see the green land.

the pink arrow is the starting point of your trak (VERTEX). by clicking "v" on your keyboard you can set more vertexes on the land wich are connected by the track.. once you have set the track click "c" to complete it.

now you have plane coaster with nothing on it. you need a station. click on "segment" on the top and select "station". click on the peace of track which is before of the pink arrow. (so the last peace of track you created) and press "x" on your keyboard. if it gets brown you have set the station. put in the same way the break and the lift. don't forget to put braks at the end of the track, elxe you cant stop. once you have put all you want along the track press the "3d" button in the first symbol line. if you press the tight mousebutton you can look around and move pressing the left mousebutton untill you press again the right one. in 3d you can set the height of the coaster. just grab the vertex points and move them.you can use the two external points on the vertex to set the curve and the radius.

when you have finished putting all the heights how you want them you can bend the coaster sidewards. for the curves. for doing that you have to click on the vertex and then select the bending degree by pressing on the degree buttons on the comand button line. the bend buttons have degrees on ti wich reach from +45? to -45?.

if you want you can test the track by pressign F5! you can also set properties of a certain peace of track by selecting it nd pressing "G".

have fun and post your results here!

bye
