In this exclusive interview with MTBS, Crytek demonstrates CryEngine 2 running an iZ3D monitor with native S-3D support! This also works on CryEngine 3. Very interesting!

Very nice.
But I've read somewhere that Nvidia's Geforce 3D vision drivers aren't working properly with Crysis (in S3D I mean).

This is NATIVE support, not driver support. No driver involved with this.

w00t!

Did they mention anything about patching Crysis & Warhead & Wars to support S-3D natively? Or is that just something they'll maybe put into future games or just offer the possibility to licensees?

This is awesome news. I just hope it'll support other stuff than just iz3d. Shutter glasses need some love as well! :)
Awesome stuff Neil. :D

Help spread the word! If the demand is there, I'm sure the opportunities are endless.

Here is a Digg story:

Neil, can you add subtitles to this video so that non english native people with bad ears still have a chance to understand. (or use the open community subtitle feature)

I never used it yet,
It's like the standard youtube subtitle feature but also allows other people to write the subtitles for your videos. You need to enable it and then validate the subtitles before they actually appear on the video.

EDIT :
i just checked it's only for annotations, the subtitles (closed captions) are single user only .srt file uploads

google recommands subtitle workshop but i highly prefer using VisualSubSync http://www.visualsubsync.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is great news. Its only a matter of time before other developers do the same thing. I hope that this turns out to be more then just a tech demo.

Definitely great news as the first major fps engine adoption. Now if only they can get the technology out into existing games via a patch. Too bad a universal standard doesn't exist for this implementation, meaning they simply render the native pair as it should be rendered and then the display manufactures lay their software over this to convert into the need format to display on their system. Coding native support for IZ3D, DLP3D, Vuzix, Nvision, etc has to be a huge pain...
