DX9 stereo convergence?

I use XP home SP2, nvidia 7950GT card, driver 163.75, stereo driver 162.50. DirectX 9.0c.

I normally play opengl games, and it works well. I can adjust seperation and convergence.

However when I run Direct3D applications there doesn't seem to be any convergence setting. I can adjust seperation as per normal, but not convergence.

Is that normal? Or is there some way I can adjust DX9 convergence in the same way I can set OpenGL convergence.

It's CTRL+F5 and CTRL+F6 by default. I think that sometimes the current setting is too extreme (very high or very low) so you have to hold the keys for a very long time to see change on the screen.

Sometime Kind Dragon's program has helped getting real 3D (with convergence).
download link: http://3d.wep.dk/files/tuning_nsd.zip" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
some instructions: http://www.3d.wep.dk/dragon.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(used it a few times myself if a game didn't have any convergence adjustment, only separation - did the trick)

Thanks!

Freke1, I'll keep those programs in mind if the problem comes up again.

Trill, you were right. It was adjusting, it was just super slow and took a while to be noticable. When I change seperation, DX9 prints a big green bar saying "SEPERATION" onto the screen and shows me the setting. But with convergence it doesn't print up anything, and like you said it was extremely low and I had to hold it down about 7 seconds before I could see any change.
