Having read and enjoyed your article I was reminded of this meant to be seen newswire post here regarding UK 3-D availability and adoption via Sky television. As a UK resident I would be more than happy if by 2010 we had a dedicated 3-D channel with fresh content daily that eventually builds up to the 2012 Olympic Games. But the way that the HD broadcast delivery in the UK has been progressed tends to suggest that your statement below would also ring true for UK residents chances of 3-D content.

"The big question remains: will we see broadcast 3-D TV any time soon? The current thinking is that once enough consumers have 3-D TVs in the home for playing 3-D games, there will be sufficient pressure to release the 3-D movies for viewing at home."

Here's hoping we are proved wrong and the broadcasters take a punt on innovative 3-D content forcing the 3-D TV manufacturers to cater for the demand generated.
