Can I use on my Optoma HD25E 1080p 120hz? Edid??

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited of asking you this: can I use on my optoma HD25e a configuration of 1080x120hz while playing 3D games?? as far as I know there is a limitation to 24hz max...and reading some threads I'm just freaking out with this fix...is that possible? I read something about editing EDID in windows? How's that process?? where can I find the file?
I was even looking for buying a new projector, but when I saw this I wanted to cry (in a happy way!!)

Hi 3Dnovice!! I'm ok with 1080i@60hz, like I said I'm playing with 25hz, imagine the change for me.
Checking the specs of my optoma I found this: "720p, 1080i, 1080p/60, 480p, 480i"...that means that I could use 1080p@60hz with that EDID modification?

I bought a projector optoma hd25e, but it's really sad that I can only play 3D games in 24hz!!!
I want to sell it and buy a new one!

There are several ways not to be limited to 24Hz on you PJ.

Like with 3DMigoto and dx11 games, for years now, you could use side by side or top and bottom.

TriDef or iz3D were also options that you could have been using for dx9/dx11 games.

Now with Ge0-11 Sibe by Side, Top and Bottom, Line Interlaced and Checkerboard can be made to work on top of Nvidia's drivers, bypassing this limitation.

Still not the best solution, because at 30 or 60, these PJs may not have the best input lag, but at 24Hz, it's absolutely abysmal

While brief and not in detail, you certainly could have asked for clarification or used the forum search to read about these things.
Also, if you had read any of those 1080P@120Hz threads in detail, you would have certainly seen that it requires HDMI 2.0.

I used the search option and I didn't find any information related to the HD25e, except my post asking for the best projector (I totally forgot about your comments and I didn't open it).
That what you mentioned in the reddit post, is the EDID modification?...I didn't want to bother you with my post, and like I said I used the search looking also for EDID modification and HD25e, but it wasn't clear to me.

Educate myself? Hey man, relax, I apologized for asking what I didn't find in the forum. I didn't even know that this edid modification was something used for other topics...I thought that this was something commented in here. And even used google searching hd25e and edid modification: result = nothing.
And don't worry, with your comments anyone will help me.

No it' is not an EDID modification and if you would have simply used "Google" to search EDID override, you would have known that.

Please, take at least a little initiative on your own behalf to educate thyself.

If you use the search and reading features on this topic, there are answers for sure. If you have thoroughly studied any of those posts on 1080P@120Hz, you will undoubtedly see that HDMI 2.0 is needed.
