Geo-11 Retrowave {Fixed}

Post by mhalsan »

I've spent some time on this, and got Retrowave mostly working, with one issue remaining: the image is squished horizontally by about 2:1.
Other than that, objects appear at the correct depth and menus are a bit off but work good enough.
I'm sure I'm missing something really simple here!

Details:
DirectX 11
Unity engine, 2019.2.10f1
Steam link- https://store.steampowered.com/app/1239690/Retrowave/

I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks, Mark

So far, I've tried various combinations of upscaling, resolutions, and window modes. No matter what, the image is squished horizontally.
I've been able to solve this problem in other games by setting upscaling to 1 and setting the resolution to 3840x1080.
If someone more qualified had time to look at this I would be happy to gift them a copy of Retrowave on Steam
Thanks, Mark

To get Retrowave to appear correctly, use these settings. I am using a pair of 1920x1080 projectors aligned side-by-side in Nvidia's "arrange multiple displays." The "left" projector should be set to "primary"

Nvidia Surround must be disabled!

D3DXDM.INI
- Direct_Mode = sbs

D3DX.INI
- Uncomment "include shaderfixes/upscale.ini"
- Upscaling = 1
- Width = 3840
- Height = 1080
- Upscale_Mode = 1

Game Settings:
- Full screen- checked
- Resolution- 1920x1080

Remaining issues:
- Inaccurate mouse pointer in menus.

I hope someone else can use this, the game looks great in 3D.
Thanks, Mark
