Well I was just looking at the game on Steam it states it is a DX12 game? IF so how can you make it run in dx11? Maybe Losti can chime in again on what he ment by running any UE4 game in DX11??

I know what he means. Most UE4 games, even those officially DX12-exclusive, run via DX11 by adding -dx11 in the Steam launch options. That's how we're able to play, for example, FFVII Remake in 3D. You'll notice any UE4 game follows a similar folder structure with the main executable called something like XXX-64-shipping.exe. But this game is different for some reason, it does not follow the generic UE4 folder structure and as I said, the usual methods I tried did not work.

So has anybody using UE4 fixes with Geo 11 and the DX9 path found a way around the bug where the whole screen gets taken over by a bright bloom?

You should if you havnt Update geo11 manually in the UE4 UF2. How to do is written at the first page. May This help.

Thanks for your incredibly flexible and complete fix, Losti! Soulstice (full release version, see https://store.steampowered.com/app/1602080/Soulstice/) can be forced to DX11 mode, which is not reflected in the minimum specs shown on the Steam page. The fix appears to be working quite well, although I just started the game.
Dual boot VR/3D Vision disk partitioning (multiple SSDs). 3D Vision - Windows 10 v1809, 425.31 driver, 32 GB, i9-9900X@4.5 GHz, hybrid-cooled 2080Ti, 4K LG E6 OLED TV with EDID. VR/geo-11 - 3080Ti with Vive Pro 2, also have Aero, wireless lens-modified Vive Pro, Index, Reverb G2, Pimax 8K.

I have been playing Asterigos and it looks/works great - just one issue that I have not been able to resolve...

Some menus and text appear, then dissappear as you move through them. The gameplay UI is unaffected - happens when you discover a journal entry, as you scroll through menu options, etc.

This issue does not manifest itself in 2D, nor in 3D without the fix.

You need to set rasterizer_disable_scissor = 1 to rasterizer_disable_scissor = 0 in the d3dx.ini to solve those issues with interface in games.

Important side note: If you crashing games again and again, in GEO11 mode, please set swap_effect = 4 to swap_effect = 1 in d3dxdm.ini

I noticed now, that when starting an UE4 game (at least SCORN) with your latest fix in geo-11 mode using the provided UE4UF2 CMD file, Steam actually doesn't recognize that the game is running, Steam overlay doesn't work as also achievements won't unlock. Anyway to fix this? Or at least get the achievements unlocked?

UPDATE: I found the easy fix this problem. Just add "-dx11" to the launch options in Steam and start the game via the Steam launcher... d'oh, that was too easy :lol:

Yes, manual changes needed for different direct mode. AO/AA fixes will be installed automatically if not allready intalled now. For the crashes, i have no idea, you can stick with 9.06 if this was working for you.

One thing that is really essential is to completely remove the old fix and than copy the new to the game. So not simply copy the new over the old one. This will crash games with geo11 for sure.

I did perform a clean install but no dice. I am using presently driver 472.12 (last non-DCH driver) instead of the pre-425.xx 3d vision driver, so maybe it has something to do with that. I still have to see if other games work fine on my system when using 9.10.

Anyway, thanks for the amazing work. I will finish Scorn now using 9.06.

UPDATE: I tried another game, namely my working Stray 9.06 installation to run with a clean 9.10 install, game crashes with "fatal error" even before 3d kicks in. Installing 9.06 again and the game works again flawlessly. Not sure what the issue is.

The problem I am experiencing is not due to the geo-11 version. I tried downgrading the geo-11 included in 9.10 to the one which is working fine on my system with 9.06 (geo-11 0.6.56) but still, both game crashes.

No idea, you'l find your way ^^

I still have no issues at all using driver 452.22 (with driver hack) and 3DV-Screen here, anything else is fare a way from me and i cannot help. I have no time to investigate special cases for any 3D setup. Youll find your way for sure :-)

The Chant (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1577250/The_Chant/) renders correctly with V9.10 (looks great), but the game crashes within minutes of play, at least with my setup. I am using MIGOTO start command/version.

Is there any way us mere mortals can get a copy of recent geo-11 builds to try. I have a couple of games that don't work with the latest publicly available geo-11 build and one of them is 32 bit so I can't just try the geo-11 included in some recent fixes as they tend to be 64 bit. Since Bo3b "disappeared" we don't hear much about geo-11 any more. I really hope Bo3b is OK. He hasn't visited the HelixVision forums for a couple of months either which is rather unusual.

I'm new to this whole thing. So if this is a common problem that is posted a lot I'm sorry but all I find is complete one eye black while I get some UI.

I want to say you guys who make these fixes are awesome, I found out about helixvison and helixmod the other day and was blown away by how much work must have went into fixes.

ah sorry, Using geo11, pics are tab, but does the same with sbs. drivers are what helix vison installed plus current nvidia drivers. using a geforce 3060 and HTC Vive. Still new to this whole thing. Guess I could have picked a better game to learn how this all works :3 though I did get batman arkham asylum and knight working with geo11

Thank you, Losti. V9.12 fixed the problem I was having getting your geo-11 version to work with some games. I noticed that in geo-11 Asterigos (using 3080Ti with TAB mode), some of the distant objects have unstable, flashing textures, while in Migoto Asterigos (using 2080Ti), all textures are stable. The Chant, when using geo-11 version, does not crash like MIgoto version on my setup, but I also noticed some unstable background textures in my limited game play.
Dual boot VR/3D Vision disk partitioning (multiple SSDs). 3D Vision - Windows 10 v1809, 425.31 driver, 32 GB, i9-9900X@4.5 GHz, hybrid-cooled 2080Ti, 4K LG E6 OLED TV with EDID. VR/geo-11 - 3080Ti with Vive Pro 2, also have Aero, wireless lens-modified Vive Pro, Index, Reverb G2, Pimax 8K.

Thanks for the update Losti. I, too, are getting flashing textures in Mechwarrior v and Asterigos as mentioned above when using geo11. Not sure how many other games have the issue, however, I would assume it has something to do with the later versons of geo11, as going back to 9.06 fixes the issue. Really appreciate your efforts.

This is a known issue Dave is currently working on. As for a prove you can do me a favor? Can you set hunting=1 in d3dx.ini and try the games with this flicker again and tell me if it's gone ??
