New to the forum

Post by johnnyboy444 »

Hi my name is john I'm new to the forum. I have a few questions. First of all, I play in a rock band and I wanted to know if it were possible to film something so it can be viewed in stereoscopic 3d like a music video. Also if its possible to make our webpage 3d.

does anyone know of a really good set of hmd's for movies and ps3? Maybe something that can do 2d and 3d or whats the best for each separately. Thanks

I used Nu View adapter for my videocam and it works fine (just used it last month again after a long period, only needed to replace the battery), and using the stereoscopic player to view without flickering on PC. NuView has been discontinued since I bought it 10 years ago and replaced with a newer and cheaper model. Both the adapter and the player can be googled. Good luck and have fun.

Hi

LukePC1 posted this link yesterday:
http://www.fordeumicrosites.com/de-DE/m ... index.html
which is a 3D webpage from Ford.

Fujifilm is making a 3D camera soon: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2264
but You can also use 2 cameras side by side like I do:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX_8sXh7yPM&fmt=18

Just load the 2 videos with StereoMovie Maker (free) syncronize/adjust them and save them as side by side or red/blue. View it crosseyed or with 3D glasses/hmd. Stereosound also if You want.

Here's a 3D music video from Bjork: http://swissmiss.typepad.com/weblog/200 ... ander.html
(There's a link to play the video)

Welcome to the Forums :)

Here is an example, how it could look like on a website:
http://stereo.jpn.org/java/spva/stereohe.htm

I think it should be possible that you choose your output only once at the beginning and then the java aplet does the rest.
However I think it would be enough if a (big) section was S-3D. Stereoscopic text and stuff can be realy anoying, if you don't have the hardware to watch it.
Best luck with your project - and please keep us informed.
