Vireio Perception 2.1.6 and DK2 - which runtime and settings

I got hold of a second hand DK2 recently, so I wanted to revisit some of the games that I previously played with Vireio and TrinusVR+FreePIE+VireioSMT now in the DK2. Most of the manuals are pretty old, so I cannot make them work. Has anyone been able to make Vireio 2.1.6 work with a recent runtime or a LibOVRWrapper?
