Atari founder Nolan Bushnell on Steve Jobs and virtual reality

When the slow wheels of Hollywood movie making finally click into gear, Nolan Bushnell will have the surreal experience of seeing Leonardo DiCaprio pretending to be him on the silver screen.

While he may not be a household name in Australia, the 71-year-old was a central figure in the childhoods of millions of Generation Xers, who grew up playing his games. Along with business partner Ted Dabney, Bushnell founded videogaming pioneer Atari in 1972, which brought simple classics such tennis game Pong to the masses and kickstarted an industry now worth more than the movies.
