YT3D tags/functionality broken?

Post by yuriythebest »

Right, I uploaded a video in Half SBS, however I noticed that it was really squashed and the 16:9 stretch tags didn't help. Furthermore, I noticed my previous videos are all "small" - anyone have any more info?

okey, I added that, and it is now indeed "full" however the quality is "potato" (as if the very small video was taken and stretched) - where as the original was 1280*720 (Half SBS).

it is almost like youtube doesn't really care about 3d functionality....

Too bad, didn't try it myself but the stretching effect makes sense considering the initial problem.

Hopefully YouTube will correct this, but considering the general downtrend of 3D I'm not holding my breath. Especially compared to other emergent technologies like 4K...

I don't see the squashing on my 3D videos, but the "change 3D settings" buttons doesn't work AT ALL!!!!

What I see is a side-by-side video, but when I try to change the 3D settings it just refreshes the video. Fail.

Has anyone added a bug on the YouTube tracker yet?

the playback issues happen because of HTML5 player (if you're using Chrome). Just get an extension to force the old FLASH player
