Controll Board troubleshooting

Post by jggiles »

so I just pulled this setup out of the box and i'm playing around with it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290780327762?ss ... 1497.l2649

I can't get the LCD to display anything. When I first plugged in the controller board the LCD would flash white followed by a steady pause that kind of looked like something was rebooting. It did this about 5 times and now I am having no luck getting the LCD to display anything through the DVI input. just a black screen (black as in totally off, not a powered up black screen)

Any ideas?

One of my guesses is that it's not getting enough power - but I have no idea how much it needs or how to find that out.

I think I know what's going on - the AC adapter I am using is rated 12v 100mA and according to this page i need 2A-5A.
