I'm not sure if this is old news but I haven't found much info on the subject other than this article:

No HDMI 1.4a?!?!? Seriously? Can't believe they don't support the industry standard (but I guess its better than nothing).

So I'm assuming that Active Shutter glasses are supported since the Side by Side and Top Bottom options are offered?

If you have a 3D HDTV, then yes. Most active sets (and passive too) will support side-by-side.
