How about a thread to list FREEWARE Stereoscopic Software. By free I mean NO commercial, trial-ware, ad-ware, etc... If it's a trial it ain't fracking free. I'm talking about software that is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL. Actual FREEWARE that is mostly open source.
I'll start with Bino 3D Video Player
http://bino3d.org/index.html
This software is simple and awesome. I got it so I could play a dual stream video I downloaded. It will play in interleaved mode so I don't have to fiddle with my TV remote. Excellent little program for both Windows and Linux. Supports many inputs and outputs.
Got a stereoscopic freeware program you'd like to share? Please post a link!

Re: Freeware Stereoscopic Software Thread
Like Bino, sView is another totally free stereoscopic software player:

There are precompiled packages available for Windows + Linux and sView supports a lot of common stereo input and output formats. Its internal decoders are based on the FFmpeg project, which gives sView support for a wide variety of file and audio/video compression formats.

Freeware is only related to the cost of the software (free as beer), Open Source refers to the availablity of the source code and rules associated to its usage (free as speech). You can find Open Source software that is not freeware (ie. the cost is not zero) and freeware that is not Open Source (ie. the source code is not available).3DWolf wrote:I'm talking about software that is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL. Re: Freeware Stereoscopic Software Thread
Well there is my little utility, MPO2Stereo, that will convert Fujifilm MPO files to left/right JPEGS: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4124" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Source code: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p ... 767#p32767" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or the newer version, MPO2JPS, that converts to JPS:
http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4419" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This may not work for MPOs created with other devices (like Nintendo 3DS), but should work with the Fujifulm W1 and W3. I probably will not bother updating this software, since now StereoPhoto Maker has support and is a much better solution over all.

Re: Freeware Stereoscopic Software Thread
Is there any advantage to using these ( bino, sview, etc ) other than the nvidia 3d video player?

Re: Freeware Stereoscopic Software Thread
Cost maybe ? Bino is free and supports frame-packing when 3DTV Play cost $39.99.
Compatibility with other OSes like Linux ?
Compatibility with Quadro GPUs using OpenGL QBS and 3-pin compatible 3D glasses under Linux ?
