Wow! Looks like IZ3D is finally getting some support for their projector driver. I know a lot of people were having problems using 3D Vision projectors. And 1080P!!!!! Thats what I'm talking about. Also, that 3D camera looks nice. Hope the quality is decent.

I'm just copying the slides from the press presentation, where it clearly says "iZ3D" - though it will most likely work with TriDef as well.

BTW, 3D camcorder and photo frame have just been officiall announced, along with a portable projector and a print photo scanner!

It's not just a projector driver anymore, iZ3D made it a generic 120 Hz device output and removed all EDID checks for specific projector or monitor models.

$180 for the camera, that's reasonable. I'll buy it.

Yeah, maybe 120Hz monitors are technically "supported" but good luck getting any shutter glasses to sync. At least until the AMD 3D models come out.

3D Vision monitor lineup
...
V3D243wm-LED - 23.6" 1920x1080, Q4 2010
V3D247wm-LED - 27" 1920x1080, Q1 2011
I see HDMI 1.4 mentioned in relation to these 2 monitors. Does that imply they support "HDMI 3D" input signals -- in particular, supports PS3 S3D games and Blu-Rays? If not, what do they mean by mentioning "HDMI 1.4"?

(Still looking out for a display device (any kind -- monitor, TV, projector) that supports full 1080p S3D gaming from computer and PS3 S3D gaming/video ...)

-again , whether a DLP projector is 1080p , is not important for gaming, or movies.
Microdisplay pixels count different than ugly LCD pixels. How else could have good quality picoprojector with 858*480 res. Therefore 720p is plenty.

Important features are.

1. Is it standard bulb , or bulb with DPR enhancement

2. Does it have dynamic contrast with Iris, or dynamic with light engine

@tritosine: If you are happy with 720P, fine. But I know there are many people that wish to invest in the future and get a 1080P capable 3D projector. I know you are on AVS sometimes and there is huge demand for 1080P 3D. Not many people these days are looking to spend a $1000+ to only get a 720P home theater display. Maybe if you are talking about a 42" or less HDTV then 1080P might not be that noticeable. But once you get into the 100" range I am pretty sure it makes a difference.

after a distance your own eyes do SSAA antialiasing for you for free. 720p vs 1080p is only distance / throw related with DLP.

BTW your so lucky living in US , you can buy 1080p DLP RPTV parts cheap, and build passive polarized 1080p video wall ....

DLP won't hide the fact that you've only got 720 lines of vertical resolution, it's not going to augment that whatever the technology you use for display. You may not see distinct pixels as clearly than on LCD but the image would be more blurry.

Sure, but the difference is a lot more visible with the current usage of DLP projectors since you generally project a way bigger image than a 3D TV. You'd have to calculate the projection size and your viewing distance to be sure 720p is enough for your usage.

on video material I think 720 is clearly a lot. And don't think about squashed youtube 1080p in comparison.

Maybe test like unigine 3d ran in stereoscopic would be a good judge of MLAA, 1080p, MSAA and all that.

wow those pj's .

classroom 1080p. with 5000 lumen lasercannon @ 2500 bucks, probably half that in 3d or they'd brag about it.

3000:1 native contrast shows no use of dynamic contrast. Not good. I'd convert 2x RPTV

I'd rather them give a real number than this 1,000,000:1 bogus contrast ratio marketing mumbo-jumbo. Probably looks great on that fake 240Hz LCD TV.

I really don't think so, these are pure 120 Hz computer monitors, so it's only PC with 3D Vision kit and drivers, or iZ3D/DDD drivers and 3rd party glasses kit.

But, newly announced Acer HS244HQ does the trick! I.e. supports HDMI 3D formats and comes with active shutter glasses included.
If not, what do they mean by mentioning "HDMI 1.4"?
Basically, whatever they like, since most capabilities of HDMI are optional and not really tied to the version number; see the Capabilities form for HDMI Compliance Test http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/testing_policies.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
