hehe NICE JOB!

here is the nex one.. 3 points if correct -2 if wrong. hey its a QUIZ! so think before you answer!

there is a italian castle, with a big treasure inside.

on the entrance there is a guard wich asks you a question and if you answer right you enter, else you die.

youre a robber, so you hide behind a tree and wait untill somebody comes.

the prince comes on the horse, the guard says "otto" [eight in italian] and the prince replies "quattro!" [four] and enters the castle
the king comes on the horse, the guard says "dieci" [ten] and the king replies "cinque!" [five] and enters the castle

the queen comes and the guard says "dodici" [twelve] and the queen replies "sei" [six] and enters the castle

now its your turn.. you go there, the guard says "quattordici" [fourteen]...

whats the correct answer?

obviously you can reply also in english... its just because of the "italian castle"... :D lol

have fun!

and the robber (me) replies "sette" [seven] and enters the castle... or?

Divide the number given by the doorkeeper by two... so the answer to the doorkeeper should be: "sette", like seven.
This seems to be so easy so i wonder if there might be some grammar thingy here making this answer wrong. lol

I guess i'll know soon.

edit: shot on sight.. lol

cheers

Going for another shot... lol. I'm pointing the gun to my head and turns the barrel a few turns:
Pulling the trigger....: There's 11 letters in"quattordici" so the next obvious answer should be "undici" [eleven] and enables me enter the castle for the gold.... or?
Unfortunately i had to do it in the next life....

This answer is logical since the suppoused language is italienish. :D

Heh crap :)

I just wanted to answer this one but didn't see there was a whole 4th part to this thread.. :)

I had Likay's answer for the same reason.. but I am a bit suspicious of myself since I think I heard it before.. and that's cheating :)

hehe good job.. so at the end you gained 1 point our of that.. :D dead man walking.. :D

here is the one neil posted! the answer is LOGIC! just think. by logic i mean that it is not a game like "how can you put a elephant into the fridge? open the fridge, put it it, close the fridge..." :D

here is teh game posted by neil:
+2 if correct -0,5 if wrong

An archaeologist is doing excavations, and he finds a perfectly preserved naked body. He removes all the dirt, looks at

the corpse for a moment, and proclaims "I have found Adam!"

A second man runs to the scene, looks at the body, and says "WOW! It is Adam!"

How did the men know it was Adam? (of Adam and Eve)

FOR LIKAY: READ THE LAST PART IN BREAKETS! IT IS >>>NOT<<< ADAM SAVAGE, SO YOU CANT RECOGNIZE HIM BY THE SEGWAY! :D

bye

I don't know, how it says in the english bible, but didn't God use a rib (bone from the chest) from Adam to make Eve?

So if they both found out, that it's Adam, he should have one rib missing (and maybe a scar instead...

No, not even close! We were taught that all men have this missing rib in comparison to women. Now you have me thinking, I'm going to ask my med-school brother if there is truth to this Sunday school teaching about the missing rib in men.

It's not a religious answer to speak of. Sharky's right - it's more a logic thing.

It's so simple, you will kick yourself when you get it.

How about this: The archaeologists we two of Adam's sons, like Cain, Abel, or Seth, and they knew what he looked like at the time of his death (according to the Bible, he was 930 years old when he croaked).

Nononono. Nothing like that.

This is SO SIMPLE! You will kick yourself.

Just by looking at the body! 10 seconds is all it took if that long, and they knew it was Adam.

How did he know?

This can't be it but here goes anyway: they called it Adam because it was a body of a man and not a woman.

You'll need a long knife. First, cut a plus sign (+), giving 4 equal-sized parts. Then separate the parts and put them in a straight line and cut 'em down the middle. This divides each of the four parts in two, yielding the desired 8 pieces.

Oh they have to be the same size.. hmm cut the cake in two halfs, put the other half on top of the other, cut them again to get 4 pieces, then pile 4 pieces on top of each and cut the 3rd time.

Ok. Had to rethink . :D
Cut the d**ned cake in 4 equal pieces the "ordinary way.
Then cut it on the height once so it makes 8 pieces. It's not a fair solve though... lol
Some pieces are only the bottoms and some are only the tops.

hahah yeah that was the correct nswer.. :D hey if you make fun of me i give this link to your boss! he willbe suprised to see what you do at work.. :D

ok ehr eis the next one submitted by mel! the POSSIBLE answers are 3, so it would be too easy to guess.. so the correct answer will only count if the answer has also the correct explanation!

if correct 3 pts if wrong -2

A semi tractor trailer, whose trailer section is completely air tight, is traveling down the highway at 'speed' (doesn't matter how fast). There is a helium balloon floating inside the trailer. If the truck slams on its brakes, what direction does the balloon move?

OK, sharky, new rule: please provide all the pertinent rules, i.e. can't move any cake pieces, and all pieces must be same size, etc. I say that for every 'correct' post that breaks an 'unwritten' rule, you gotta deduct 3 points from your own score.

And now back to my puzzle that you posted above...
