After clicking edit on the map is a group of images at the top left, drag that roundy pointy looking thing to your location, enter data, click save on the left.

Now people in the southern hemisphere won't have to go to Fluffy the Penguin in Antarctica (who added that?).

There are three of us in or near the Twin Cities area of Minnesota USA too (who are aware of each other). If there are more soon-to-be Rift owners near me, please send me a PM. At least one of us is in the early pre-order queue, so we can have an early Rift party.

Let's make some plans!

I am not so certain how well beer and VR will go together though...

Maybe we can rent a room, advertise our Rift party, and charge admission?

Maybe if VorpX comes out soon enough, multiple rifts could get together and have the first rift lan parties ;)

Actually, my ISP lies about the geolocation of my IP address, placing it near Denver Colorado USA (where they keep their main headquarters). Why the concern? Are you near Denver?

A Twin Cities Rift Party is in our future here, I think. Why don't you plan one in Denver too?

I even have a spare Razer Hydra! ;)

The party I can plan. The Rift, I have not. Maybe you didn't read the original post, but this whole thread is so that I can see a demo somewhere near Denver.

All of these non-Denver hook-ups aren't helping me at all!

Hmm... The title does not say Denver, or specify a single party. From the title, I thought it was for ANNOUNCING Rift demo parties. Sorry... I guess those of us planning to go to DIFFERENT Rift demo parties need our own threads then, if we are not welcome here. In that case, perhaps we need to include the specific locations in our thread titles to distinguish them from each other...

I really do wish you luck finding a Rift demo in Denver. :D

I think you should rename this thread to "Demo a rift devkit in TO ME, IN DENVER?" to avoid confusion and posts that are "off topic" by your strictly limited and specific definition.

Maybe I should just ask someone to bring one straight to my house. How long of a drive is it from Twin Cities?

Google Maps says "airport to airport" driving distance is about 900 miles (13 hours):

I spent all of my Kickstarter money on Tex before I knew about Rift. So... hopefully I'm happy with the results.

Tex has always been a technology pushing game series. They're developing the next game in Unity, so hopefully it's easy to get it Rift Compatible. I think the team at Tex would really think that was cool.

Since I'll probably be the only one saying this, demo available in BB, Slovakia. However I am a slacker backer so I have a conservative date of around 1st May.

I had to shovel the driveway THREE TIMES today! The snowbanks are getting so tall much of the snow I tried to toss over them just fell back onto the driveway. I ended up shoveling much of it into the street, then shoveling to the right so the snowplow would not push it back into the driveway, then up onto the snowbank at the street. Even that was too high, so it bulges significanly out onto the street now.
:?
We had more snow today here in Minnesota than at anytime all winter! Thankfully, it FINALLY stopped snowing. I live near the river so we typically get a LOT more snow than is reported at the airport (the OFFICIAL snowfall).

So, how much did you get in Indiana?

Thankfully, I telecommute, so I rarely need to leave home. I have never worked at an office with tools and toys that began to compete with what I use at home anyway... I only bother shoveling the driveway so my wife can get in and out...

Sorry xhonzi, no Denver here either. :)

Added myself to the map, I am in the south bay area and wouldn't mind hosting for demos. Aug 1st Kickstarter backer, so early batch (hopefully).

It would be cool to maybe partner with a few other bay area dev kit owners and have a "Rift Social." Anyone interested?

Great idea! I'm saving up my money for the consumer version, but with that potentially being a year or two away, I've got to get my fix sooner.

Is anyone near Washington, DC? If not, if anyone wants to purchase a dev kit for me, I'll be happy to show it off to anyone else in the area!

I was lurking and hoping someone might post from Bristol!!

It'll be interesting to see how much press the Rift starts to get once the dev kits start to get into the hands of the 'public' rather than just select dev's.
