Ok, so if you are as curious as I am about this new generation of games that take advantage of 3D and of the Move controller, you will appreciate this summary of the info collected on the internet from those people who played the PS3 retail full version that leaked before the launch.
Top Spin 4 for PS3 will have stereo 3D and Move support from day one, no need to wait for updates to get Move support.
It is 3.55 compatible so you do not need to upgrade the firmware to play.
When using the Move, you will also have to use the navigation controller in order to move the player and to direct the shots.
So, like in Killzone 3, you will have to twin-up a motion and a navigation controller.
The gameplay is simplified over Top Spin 3 but you still have satisfaction because you have got control of the shots. Now you can see feedback on each shot also during matches and not just during training (you can turn this feature on and off).
The Move controller is not as cool as in Sports Champions table tennis: it feels more similar to the WII in the sense that you do not have a perfect, real time reproduction of the 6 degrees of freedom the Move is capable of onto the racket. But still, you can use the motion controller to prepare the shot, to hit the ball, to give some effect: flat vs top spin. The other effects and shots are achieved by pressing buttons.
The AI of the other player is realistic and each famous player has got his/her style, even better than in Top Spin 3.
Those who played say that the 3D represents a huge improvement because of the depth of the big stadiums and because the trajectory of the ball is much more clear than in 2D: you do not need to use the small shadow to inferred the trajectory of the ball: you see the position of the ball in 3D.
It seems that there are no pop-out effects.
No artifacts reported.
In case you are considering getting a projector, notice that short-through has got the advantage that it fits well with the new games that use the Move controller, especially for games like Top Spin 4, which are best played standing and with friends in the room.
