The "Online" service - 3d support

Post by artox »

I don't know if you've heard of the "online" service, but in case you haven't :
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/47079.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/47081.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically, it means that you will be able to play through your browser, any game, on any pc, as long as you have a good broadband conection, and a fast enough cpu and decoding codec (depending on what codec they use, hopefully they it's h-264).
If this thing gets mainstream, and they claim they have the support of 6 game developers and publishers, there has to be some sort of stereo support involved (at least anaglyph initially, beacuse it's easier to implement in a browser).
So I suggest, and hope that mtbs, iz3d, nvidia, or someone gets in touch with these people, because if this tech gets the attention it deserves, and I believe that there are a lot of people out there with no high-end pcs, who would like to play high-end games, stereo is kind of left out of the picture.
