The King of Fighters XIV

Post by Captain007 »

I'm trying to get this working in 3D with OpenGL3DVision wrapper. 3D kicks in and is fairly decent with only minor issues. Definitely playable and better than flat 2D even without a proper fix. However, one huge problem is game launches zoomed in, only showing lower left quarter of screen. Only workaround is to lower resolution, the lower res the more of screen is visible, something like 800X600 and it will show whole game. I tried a bunch of things like forcing fullscreen but it crashes if forced. Any help is hugely appreciated.

Thanks a lot :D Where in the ini can I find upscaling. I looked but couldn't find it. I'm using OpenGL3DVision 10.1 beta. Appreciate it :D

hmm well it does not appear there is an upscaling for the OpenGL Wrapper?? Not sure why the screen starts zoomed in or whatever it maybe doing.. vthe only thing I saw for resolution was in the depth 3D part?

Perhaps there is a setting in the game menu causing the issue, it might not necessarily be called "upscaling"

Also try disabling the Anti-aliasing to see if there is a difference.

FWIW AFAIK, you need to set the resolution and window mode, prior to installing the OpenGL wrapper from Helifax or it cause issues
Thanks a lot, I tried turning off Antialiasing from both game and driver. Also I completely removed and reinstalled the fix in the folder before changing settings to be sure. I'm suspecting the way game initializes could be the culprit. Game launches with a small window in middle of screen, kinda like splash screen but with maximize/minimize/close window buttons greyed out, window is blank white, and then goes fullscreen and game starts. If I force fullscreen in ini I can see the wrapper tries to switch the game in fullscreen during this splash but then it hangs. I'm thinking if the splash can be maximized or bypassed somehow we could fix the scaling, or perhaps the wrapper can kick in after game has gone fullscreen.
