On my Alienware 17 (2014), when I enable 3DV, the screen brightness cuts to half. The brightness controls on the keyboard and those in Windows, do not have an effect, though I see the slider going up and down.
Everything is fine when I disable 3DV.
It used to work fine in Windows 7 - I haven't used it in a long time...
Any ideas?
Low Brightness when 3DV enabled, even on desktop?

Re: Low Brightness when 3DV enabled, even on desktop?
Thanks for the reply.
I don't believe it's a hardware issue, as 120Hz works fine in 2D. Only when 3DV driver is toggled on and Stereo3D is on or Off, the problem occurs.
Maybe it's by design - do other peoples monitors go noticeably dim when 3DV is enabled in NVCP? Hmm...
I came across another guy with the same system complaining about the same thing on alienware forums.
