This article is mainly for the medical community but I figured that any S3D news is good news, right, as it will eventually filtered through to us, the masses.
The 94th Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Centre is taking place right now (November 30-December 5, 2008) attracting 27,000 healthcare professionals from over 100 countries. The attendees will see Alioscopy USA demonstrations of its state-of-the-art 3DHD auto-stereoscopic 3D LCD display and content creation, no glasses required. Displays are available in a 24-inch (portable) and 40-inch LCD monitor model and can offer content in two, four or eight-views.

Nice find, and a high quality video to boot .Freke1 wrote:Yes looks nice:

You're so right about the European market lagging behind, if we ever get the technology at all.
Nice sign, by the way.

Its a lenticular display with a diagonal pattern. They had both displays on the show floor but there was a very distinct moire pattern if you adjusted your position or moved your head at all. As long as you are still then it is okay. They license their technology to other companies but quite honestly the display quality is no where near good enough to work well in a medical environment. I will post the brochure later.
