After getting d3d9.dll errors in pretty much every game that needed the .dll, and lots and lots of searching I finally found the solution - uninstalling geforce experience.
It would be great if this information could be added to the FAQ or somewhere where people will come across it.

I'll add something to the instructions.
I don't have the issue myself despite having GEFORCE experience installed, and I am certain that others don't either, but it can be added as a suggestion if anyone else is getting similar problems.

Yeah, I'm sure most will be fine, but I've seen a few people on this forum and reddit who were unable to resolve their issues so I thought to put it out there.
