This is the single best bit of news about the future of the Rift and Oculus, forget 75 mil, you know you're gonna make it when Gabe's got your back!

So all that talk of "i could walk around like a lucid dream" that was just the latest rift implementation

You might be right, but I can assure you that what you've linked to does not in anyway support your assertion.

You mean regarding their headset and the whole lucid dream thing? Yeah I guess that was a bit of an inference, Joe Ludwig probably does have some beast DIY gear of his own

That the prototype was owned by OVR rather than Valve.

A more direct link to the slides which also contain the text of the talk. A very interesting and relevant speech, plus you get to see what the Valve VR hardware actually looks like.

This is a link to his post about his talk at GDC last year. I'd really like to see what the vr hardware looks like though. I demand correct URL'S!! :)
