Passive 3D without Nvidia 3DTV play?
I got a LG 42La6600 TV for my monitor, and now I am trying to set up the TV as 3D gaming. But I do not want to pay nvidia again to buy 3DTv play. Is there another alternative.

Your best bet is to buy the 3DTV Play software. There is not really a good alternative right now.
They have a 15 day trial, I believe, so you can test to make sure the setup is compatible first.
It's really not a lot of money when you see that you can play hundreds of games in 3D.
