DIY Headtracker and Vireio

First of all hello to everyone on the forums,

I am a total noob in this field and would love to ask some questions.

Could I use this http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1677559 DIY headtracker and set it up with FreePie so it can be used with Vireio? Or can it be directly recognized by Vireio?
Actually what I don't understand is what data should be sent from Headtracker to Vireio and in what format so it could be recognized. i.e. how would I even begin adding support for this tracker inside of Vireio?
