new stereodrivers give avi problems!

hi all!

i have a problem... if in the stereodriver cp. the drivers are enabled, avi files do not play.. with any player.. i only see a pink background color and some parts of the desktop like icons instead of the movie. same happens with stereoscopic player.. i have the 160.3 and the 158.22 drivers...

somebody else expirencing this problem?

I had that problem with 158.22, but it went away with 160.3.

158,22 are stereodrivers,
160,3 are forceware drivers...

i already updated the forceware drivers, but nothing to do..

When you're about to watch movies, simply disable stereo. It works for me.
However: I'm about to order some 3d-movies soon... Maybe i should wait for awhile? Does the stereoscopic player plays stereo even if the nvidia driver stereooption is turned off? (curious)

well if you turn it off you can see the avi files.. but it is annoying to switch it offf 5 times a day... 3d movies work great in full screen.. but you can't watch them windowed. so you have to set it windowed more or less guessing the settings, and then go fullscreen and see if everything is ok.. it take 2 mins.. but then it is ok for the whole movie... i would say that you can buy them without any problems..
