Common words in Search

One annoying feature of this forum is that the Search ignores a list of certain common words.

For example, I want to find my own post which contains some common word, so I restrict the search to my own user name and previous recent weeks, but even though I know I used the word only once on this forum, I'm unable to find the post because the common words list steps in, so I have to use Google with site: modifier.

I understand searching the full message database for common words gives an extra load on the servers, but could this be relaxed for cases when there are additional search criteria which basically restrict the scope of search to a much smaller subset of the full database?

I'm not so much concerned about server load. I don't know if this is a limitation of PHPBB or a function I can turn on and off. I will research.

Looks like you need to either disable the feature or set the threshold to a higher value (say 50%), then recreate the entire search index.

You might want to replace "Fulltext Native" as the search engine with "Fulltext MySQL".
