iZ3D is cooking something new with their next driver release. It's not ready yet, but MTBS will be the first place to find it.

Here are some screenshots from their Alpha release. Do you see anything special here?

Well you didn't make the puzzle very hard, pointing to the crosshairs and bulletholes :) :)

Nice! Adaptive crosshair in IZ3D drivers, good news indeed.

Is it on purpose, that the crosshair is always slightly in front of the target (except the sniper images), you can see that the crosshair is not spot on, but that can be on purpose ofcourse.. better to be a bit in front than somewhat behind an object.

Can you look at a close wall too? To see if it can do both long range and short range?

Good work from IZ3D.. interested to see more.
Now if only they would start replying to my e-mails, I'd be even happier.

Great one! Loved the nvidia dept crosshair. Really great that iz3d also have it now. :D. This is a feature i missed more than anything elsein thier driver.

Well done iz3d devs!

cheers

Maybe it's the Hud.
It's aligned in all shots, but they managed to get popout, too.

I think the Hud is on 'screen depth' but because of the great popout (and the little depth) the crosshair looks like it'd be nearly right.

I'm not shure had iZ3D always a aligned hud?

It looks to me like the image on the left is the same as the original 2D image would have been rendered, while the image on the right is offset. So you can close one eye to aim.

I mean, it is rendering as though one eye was in the middle of your head like a cyclops, while the other eye is off to the side.

That's just a guess.

But I can't actually view those stereo pairs because I have V!$t@. Damn you nvidia!!!!!

hi carl! youre nearly right.. you dont need to close one eye.. the brain does that for you. :)

Cool. That's what I was thinking about doing in my driver. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to work on my driver, and trying to do the page flipped stereo needed by my VR920 looks impossible. But I might still make an anaglyph driver when I have time.

Now that is cool!

It is exactly what a friend and I discussed today.. that you could go for the dominant eye and skip adaptiveness alltogether.

But.. we talked about it regarding iron sights and scopes.. does the same thing work nice in general play too? Doesn't the "wrong" crosshair interfere too much? Do they allow you to set which eye is dominant?

Damn I would love to see that in action. Good work.. :) Love this effort and now new things by IZ3D.. great thinking..

How do you view this in stereo if you only have the iz3d driver installed and the iz media player classic? I can open up the jpeg file, but do not know how to view it in stereo with iz3d.

I think you told me how to do this in the past, Sharky, but I haven't found that post if/when you did.

Sorry for the possibly redundant question.
Thanks.

Ok, Neil helped me, the key was setting the stereo format to side by side.

In iz3d media player classic,
File
--> Stereo Format
-------------------> Side by side.

Thanks, Neil!
