So I tore my old DK1 apart many years ago to use it with the wearality lenses: http://www.aeonalpha.com/fov.html

But I kept all the parts (the front plastic clips broke when disassembling though) and the googles (or atleast lens separation) fits the Switch VR perfectly it seems, so now I just need to trim the plastic sides where the switch is too wide with my circle saw.

I'm trying to find a way to add head rotation to the game though, did Nintendo not add a high frequency IMU to the main console!?
6-axis inertial sensors are embedded in the main console
So why doesnt BotW use it?!

Edit: NM you just enable the IMU with "Aim with motion controls", here comes the circle saw! I mean the resolution of the screen is soso, no low persistence, but the lenses are actually ok. The biggest improvement Nintendo could do is to render the center of the images more clearly!
