Low resolution/Edges of the screen

Hi,
I am trying to play L4D2 on my dk1, but when I play it I see the edge of the screen so I have to make zoom with LControl+ Mousewheel, and make the FOV bigger. That means that I lose a lot of resolution and I have a lot of bugs because of the big FOV. Any one knows how can I solve that?
