Fallout 3 GOTY (steam) DK2 issues

I've tried the 2.16 perception and the latest alpha 3a. I can get Fallout 3 tracking and displaying on Oculus with runtime 6.0.1 but instead of 360 sphere the game displays on a floating cinema screen in front of me. Someone on the forum mentioned in another thread about "distortion setting" but that option is missing under 3 alpha version and Fallout 3 doesn't work at all under 2.1.6. for me.
Another one is Far Cry... Uplay version... just does not work at all. Has never tracked and it crashes out. Tried all the usual crap recommended for this game (admin mode), injecting using the DLL injector, not injecting but having perception running and injecting with perception running as well.
I can tell you that Borderlands also displays in this floating cinema screen mode with 3 alpha but displays correctly in 2.1.6.
Nvidia GTX 680 on windows 8.1.
