XBox360 Guide button + Disconnected screen view issue.

So I got this brilliant idea that didn't work and I have no idea why.
Pinnacle game profiler allows you to set the XBox360 guide button, I thought if I assign the middle mouse button to that, I can keep the control scheme in games as is.
The only issue is, when you have the game profiler running, disconnected view throws you a blank screen.
Any ideas or suggestions? That guide button could be very useful.
