Yes, I'm Lazy! Let Me Prove It!

Post by Neil »

Are you lazy like me? How do you feed your lazy nature?

Have you owned or tried a gadget to avoid dirty work?

Got a comment or story to share?

Post here!

Neil

Really entertaining story :D

I sometimes (involuntary) uses my smokealarm to cook:
1. time it goes of: time to turn the steak
2. time it goes of: steak's done.

The most lazy creatures are cats - They don't do anything all day every day.

I don't think cats are lazy at all! They are just very efficient. They get the most benefit out of as little energy as possible.

I remember a teacher explained that when you come home, a dog will run up to you begging to be pet. But the cat will stay where it is because it knows you will come to them!

Our cats run to the door, though, and in many ways they are more like dogs.

Great story Neil! Brought a few smiles to my face in a row. :D
Once had cats myself so i know what you're talking of. Unfortunately it was a long time ago so i have to stay out of pet discussion for now... hehe
If the story is about laziness? It's more about being comfortable i think. Even if you save time at some place ,time seems to disappear out of nowhere anyway. :(
About cleaning: Well, i'm single and don't really see the need for doing that too often.. haha. Getting a Roomba seems to be a good idea though. :)

Ps: If you are not able to find one or two of your cats in the future, please check Roomba immediately. At least until you know the cats and Roomba are doing fine together. :D
If you can't find Roomba.... well, well... :D

cheers

That's hilarious! I've been through this same cat de-smellify process. I've actually recently been toilet training my two cats for the ultimate laziness! There's a website showing all the success stories and such, so I didn't believe it at first. It's actually working, just taking taking a while.

http://www.citikitty.com/

I started in August I think, so it's been about 2 months and they're almost to the last "ring" with the last bit of litter. There were a few accidents, but overall it's been super lazy!

ok guys this is not at all about lazyness but about problems with the dog's poo.... :D

ok here is the problem: my nice dog neela has coprophagy. that is when a dog eats the own brown stinky products... :)

it is very difficult to un-habbit the dog because in my case the medicine didnt help, and at night nobody noticed it until she came back licking your face after eating the --- ehm... you know what... ---... same story douring the day.. she is small so you don't notice that she is going to her nice lil toilet... (oh forgot to say.. she makes everything at home into her box... )

with all these problems, after testing to change the position of the box, tested medicine, tested to give her different things to eat, tried to put water in what she eats, tried to follow her the whole day (that was the worst idea of all), tried to change the box, tried to change from newspaper to every material you can immagine, nothing was working at all sharky had to switch the brain on and remove it from a hybernate state...

here is what i came up with:

a telephone! yes youre right! a phone! everytime she goes and makes something in there the phone rings!
what i used to make this is: a old cordless phone, some meters of wire, a spring, a peace of steel thread or copper, a wheight wich fitts exactly into the spring. ( i used a screw )

what i did is open the base of the phone and connected two wires to the "search phone" button. and closed it again. at the other end i soldered a spring to one wire, and the steel thread at the other end. then i fixed the weight at the other end of the spring and fixed the spring on a basis. then i fixed the steel thread near the spring but without touching it on the basis. and bent the steelthrad in a way to have a sort of loop around the weight wich is 2 mm bigger than the weight. then i aglued everything on the back of the box.. what i have now is a homemade VERY sensible motion sensor.

now everytime she goes in the phone rings. and its 5 days that we are faster than neela.. :D
