While it's still pretty rough, the level of presence in the following demo is pretty amazing ( down to being able to see and touch the wrinkles in your shirt)

Kinect II should be even faster with a higher resolution so that should become very realistic I'd guess.

Actualy the Kinect 2 is only 512×424 at 30Hz. The Kinect 1 was 640x480 at 30Hz but it didn't use a time-of-flight camera so the depth resolution was much lower.V8Griff wrote:Kinect II should be even faster with a higher resolution so that should become very realistic I'd guess.
