Is it possible? I already tried the EDID override with no luck.I just recently got a 3D Monitor I want to use with Nvidias 3DTV Play software but after attaching the monitor and doing all the options to enable stereoscopic 3S and testing it when I go to install the 14 day trial it says its working but in the Nvidia control panel it just says upgrade to Nvidia 3DTV Play still.
Here is a screenshot of the CPL: http://i.imgur.com/QWAsfq9.png
And here is the monitor: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG23AH-23-In ... ords=vg23a
I'm not even sure if the monitor is even compatible with the software but it seems like im doing everything correctly.
Thanks in advance for the help.

You are connected via HDMI, correct? You may also want to unplug any additional monitors if you have more than the 3D one.
The big issue is that Nvidia doesn't support the HDMI 1.4a standard fully, they choose to "certify" certain displays based on who knows what criteria. So even though your display should be compatible, it won't work unless Nvidia flips a switch. Probably the best bet you have is doing the EDID trick with an HDTV that is supported by Nvidia.
If all else fails you could sell your Nvidia card and get an AMD GPU. At least with that you could use the DDD driver.

Good news is i got the monitor working with 3dtv play but its detecting as over DVI not HDMI so powerdvd is having issues playing 3d sbs films. Any ideas on how to fix that?

Try the Stereoscopic Player. It works way better for a lot of content (just not 3D Blu-Ray).

I have been trying stereoscopic player but it gets horrible frame rates for some reason and just stutters. I might just end up playing it in fullscreen vlc and using my monitors built in SBS function for SBS movies.

Might be a codec issue. Try installing the K-Lite Mega pack.

To get the EDID thing to work you need to use the Zalman driver from the .zip archive at this site: http://3dvision-blog.com/7163-make-your ... 3d-vision/
I came here to chew bubblegum and to see 3D...and I'm all out of bubblegum!
